GRADUATE

Bachelor graduates of the specialties 5В090200 “Tourism” and 5В091200 “Restaurant business and hotel business” should be prepared for the following duties:

  • to know the fundamentals of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, ethical and legal norms governing the relationship of person to person, society and nature; to be able to take them into account when solving problems;
  • to organize highly effective services for consumers; to participate in the decision of organizational and strategic objectives;
  • to create comfortable conditions to stay at hotels and tourist, restaurant complexes; to advise consumers about provided services ;
  • to manage conflicts and stresses in professional activity;
  • to c onsider claims and take measures to prevent them;
  • to monitor personnel’s work, ensure cleanliness in the hotels and tourist complexes, to follow the rules and norms of labor protection and the requirements of industrial sanitation and hygiene;
  • to possess an environmental, legal, information and communication culture, elementary communication skills in foreign language;
  • to have a broad outlook; to be able to comprehend life phenomena, to independently search for truth, critically perceive contradictory idea.
  • to be capable of systemic action in a professional situation; to analysis, and design in their activities, independent actions in uncertainty conditions;
  • to be ready to show responsibility, capable of independently and effectively solving problems in the field of professional activity;
  • to be capable of practical activities to solve professional problems in organizations of various organizational and legal forms; to possess professional vocabulary;
  • to be able to scientifically organize own work which is ready to use computer technology in the field of professional activity;
  • Be prepared for positive interaction and cooperation with colleagues;
  • to be ready for constant professional growth and gaining knowledge;
  • to have a sustainable desire for self-improvement (self-knowledge, self-control, self-esteem, self-regulation and self-development); to strive to creative self-realization;
  • to develop and implement effective restaurant services programs, both social and commercial, that can meet needs of customers and provide real profit to the structure where manager works;
  • to development and implementation of effective programs for tourist-excursion and hotel services, both social and commercial, to able to meet the tourist recreational needs of customers and provide real profit to the structure in which the manager works;
  • to know the basics of entrepreneurial activity and the peculiarities of entrepreneurship in professional sphere;
  • to have a scientific understanding of healthy lifestyle and have the skills of physical improvement;
  • objective assessment of the current state of the tourism industry including material and personnel support, as well as reasonable prediction of the development of the tourist market in the country and abroad;
  • identification of perspective direction ot tourist activity;
  • application in professional activities of state, Russian, English (preferably one more European or Asian) language, including fluency in special tourist-excursion terms;
  • organization of production, economic, advertising and other activities in the system of tourist services;
  • introduction of quality management system at a tourist enterprise with a view of improving the quality of service for local and foreign tourists;
  • ensuring the safety of tourist travel;
  • marketing researches of the tourist market with the purpose of increasing efficiency of activity of the tourist enterprise (organization),   investmen tattraction, expansion of sphere of services and etc;
